Dr. Alice Edwards, DO, MSc
Dr. Edwards is a neurologist who specializes in the management of inflammatory and demyelinating diseases of the central nervous system, including multiple sclerosis (MS), neuromyelitis optica spectrum disorder (NMOSD), myelin oligodendrocyte glycoprotein antibody disease (MOGAD), acute disseminated encephalomyelitis (ADEM), autoimmune encephalitis, optic neuritis, and transverse myelitis. She is passionate about working with both adults and children affected by these complex diseases, offering patients access to current treatments and compassionate care.
Dr. Edwards earned her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences, followed by residencies in Neurology and Pediatrics at the State University of New York at Stony Brook. She completed advanced training in neuroimmunology through a fellowship at the University of California, San Francisco, where she focused on caring for patients with multiple sclerosis and related conditions.
As the Director of the Multiple Sclerosis Center at Neurology Specialists, Dr. Edwards will lead a team dedicated to providing comprehensive and personalized care for individuals living with MS and other neuroimmunological disorders. She believes in a holistic approach, addressing not only the physical symptoms but also the emotional and psychological well-being of her patients. Her goal is to empower patients with knowledge about their condition and to work collaboratively to develop treatment plans that align with their unique needs and goals.
Dr. Edwards is board certified in Neurology, with special qualifications in Child Neurology, by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. She is committed to helping her patients live fulfilling lives while managing the challenges of chronic neurological diseases.
